Filthy Februs: sex and spanking in rare art and stories

It's been a real treat browsing through the archives of the classic spanking magazines available on the Spanking Art Wiki, uncovering unseen classics by my favourite artists, and discovering just how delightfully dirty some of the accompanying stories are.

An Australian woman travelling around France is taken on as a maid at 'Chateau d'Amour' (Februs 12), though it would be more accurately called 'Chateau d'Bouleau'...

Until the end that is...

Philippe whispered comfort. She looked up. His pantaloons bulged...
The Master observed.
'Sammy, take Phillipe into your mouth and your last cut will be forgiven you...'
Deft movements, and Phillipe's pantaloons were down...
The New World of Australia was conjoined with the Old World of France...

Some of the stories are romantic...

'Love, Honour and Obey' (Fessee 2) is a university lecturer's supremely erotic account of how he met his fiancée, a 'mature thirty-two year business lady' who finds spanking to be 'a marvellous way to unwind'.

Some of them are rather fun... in 'The First Time' (Februs 5) a married woman recounts her first spanking experience, with her boyfriend after she took him to see 1970s sex comedy 'The Ups and Downs of a Handyman'...

Having performed some research on YouTube and via the Mainstream Spanking blog, I can confirm her assertion that this film contains an impressive number of spanking scenes!

Whether as a result of Februs's focus on 'the female perspective' or not, many of the stories are exceptionally filthy indeed!

I've always loved this piece by Paula every since I came across it on the good old Spanking Blog, probably over twenty years ago. I imagined it showed an unfortunate peasant girl, or the young wife of an innkeeper, who has caught the attention of a travelling group of knights while her menfolk stand watching unable to aid her...

Well it turns out the actual story is just as delightful, featuring an insolent serving girl being soundly punished in medieval times, before her master orders his two burly companions to take her into the bath-house...

Iduna was on the floor, on all fours like a beast... The men were with her yet, themselves semi-naked. She was pleasuring them. Her buttocks now bounced and rippled with a different beating, the hairy belly of one man slapping against her as he took her from the rear... the second man's phallus claimed her sweet mouth.

Of course, most of the stories are romantic, fun AND filthy. In 'When It's Time' (Februs 5), a young woman visit a married school friend and is caned by her husband... after which her friend tends to her sore bottom (and more besides...)

This young assistant might well look apprehensive, for she'll be getting 'A Taste of Her Own Medicine' (Februs 7), which involves (in the words of her strict boss)...

'A spanking for failing to follow pharmacy guidelines...then a taste of my nice big belt on your bottom for not immediately taking responsibility for your mistake.'

And while her attempts to incentivise him to cut her punishment short fail to move him, his application of soothing cream afterwards soon gets things moving in other ways...

While the first is new, you have probably seen many of these extremely intimate artworks before, and rest assured the story 'A Better or Wiser Behind' matches them for steaminess in Februs 11, leaving no stone unturned in its description of the couple's evening...

In a two-part story in Februs 12 and 13, a young woman visits her 'Best Friend' only to find her away with work, and goes on a VERY flirty shopping trip with her friend's mother instead.

Afterwards, in a spectacular display of the hypocrisy of the older generation, her friend's mother punishes her for leading her daughter astray and then takes her to bed...

And then the next day she invites her old schoolmistress round to do the same!

In 'Nuisance Calls' (Februs 18) a young stockbroker who has fantasised about being spanked for a long, long time uses the titular nuisance caller as a pretext to get her timid workplace crush to put her over his knee and then take her to bed.

The flippant title of 'I'm a Spy' in Februs 19 does not fit this intense depiction of a VERY heretical initiation ritual into a religious sect. First the maiden must give pleasure...

The master...in a lusty man. From his black-haired loins his phallus rears... She who kneels know what is expected of her. Moist and delicate lips part... Strong fingers fill with burnished locks...

...Such shame, to be so lewdly used before the silent initiates... On and on she works the proud member in her obeisant mouth... Mewlings sough from those lush lips... and then at last, with no warning, the master reaches his crisis... Yet the gift is too great, and a single thread of liquid pearl escapes her mouth, shining on her chin then falling to taint her pure breast. 

Then she is punished...

And then there is more pleasure...

...with savage cries of triumph, they tear their mantles from their bodies and, naked and blatantly aroused, they fall upon the whipped girl and each other, their lustful thirsts to slake.

A young woman is tutored by an artist she very much admires in 'Incentives' (Februs 24)... and not just for his art! His teaching methods involve drawing himself spanking her before moving on to the real thing, before she goes down on her knees to serve him... there really were rather a lot of blowjobs in these classic spanking stories, although sadly most of them were left to the reader's imagination.

In fact almost all the most titillating scenes in the incredibly filthy 'A in Altissimo' (Februs 27) were left unillustrated. A soprano loses her vocal range after an unsatisfactory assignation on the hood of her lover's Alfa Romeo, and the remedies are unusual indeed. First she finds herself on her knees sucking off the nineteen-year-old grandson of the wardrobe mistress in order to receive the theraputic 'properties found only in the sperm of certain families. That of the young men in Donna Conceptua's native village possessed these essential qualities.' Her symptoms reoccur in Salzburg, far from any suitable young Italian stallions, but a local fraulein has another cure that proves even more effective...

'My method is quite simple and will be just as effective on you as it is on the naughty little boys who fail to practice the piano exercises I set them.'

I suppose these were spanking magazines and more explicit content was available elsewhere even then (including by Paula), but I'm sure the Februs readership wouldn't have minded a few more illustrations of red-bottomed ladies sucking off their spankers!

Mind you, the opening illustration in 'Strange Customs' (Februs 27) certainly helps get the imagination going for what follows...

A prudish customs officer confiscates a consignment of spanking magazines and the affected party visits her to give a thorough demonstration of their contents...

Charles eases her back towards the desk. 'Oh no,' she murmurs in his ear, 'no, not like that. My bottom's much too sore.'
And so, a few moments later, Customs Officer Cathy Calthorpe is once more bent over her own desk having her bottom smacked. But this time the smacking if of a rather different kind, being administered by Charles' belly and thighs as his engorged member drives ecstatically into her from the rear, while her hot rosy bottom thrusts out eagerly to meet his strokes...

In 'Second Post' (Februs 32) a man returns to his old house to retrieve some more spanking magazines that were sent there by accident, only to find they've been opened by one of the women who live there.

Her lover insists that he spank her for being such a bad girl...

And then has her suck him off while she plays with her pussy!

As with Janus, the all-female stories were often even filthier than those involving male spankers. In 'Taken in Hand' (Februs 37) a young teacher writes to her friend describing the shenanigans at the Victorian finishing school where she is employed.

When she has trouble with the haughty daughter of a baronet, the headmistress whips the girl with a martinet, her skilful application of the leather strips both chastising her buttocks and curing her 'hysteria', in the Victorian fashion. Afterwards the young teacher gets her own experience of her headmistress's skills when she receives a sound birching for failing to keep her finances in order, followed by her own taste of the martinet and session from her headmistress's soothing hand... with her informing her friend that she is eager for them to re-enact the experiences when she comes to visit!

In the three-part epic of 'Strictures' (Februs 39, 41 and 43), a young woman fails to find satisfaction in spanking from any of her lovers (male or female), so answers an advert by one of her old schoolteachers... who certainly gives her what she needs!

Banned from sex for the duration, Josie is reduced to masturbating furiously in a public toilet after her first two sessions... but after the third Miss Alison takes that matter in hand as well!

In Part 2, Josie is teased once too often about her sore bottom by her secretary, and gives her a good spanking, leading to a passionate affair.

At one point they visit a sex shop to buy a paddle, and Josie tests it out thoroughly before purchase!

'Bookworm' (Februs 46) opens with the protagonist masturbating furiously, and carries on in this vein, as in her new employer she finally finds a man who can satisfy her cravings for domination and submission... although she doesn't seem quite sure which one she wants...
